Snack Sacks for Good
I wrote this piece for the April issue of TOPS Louisville and just fell all over myself talking with Megan, because she’s so cool and I did not have one squillionth of her professionalism when I was a teen. (Or in my 20s or 30s.)
Megan is 14. Maybe 15 now, but when she was 14 she founded an organization to help the frontline workers at the beginning of the pandemic with a bag of goodies (all carefully selected). Now she's partnering with other organizations to get them in the hands of homeless people, with socks and hygiene products.
We talked on the phone and emailed a bunch. She thinks my name is Ms. Stamps, but whatever. She even sent me a handwritten note in the mail after the article was published. On her own branded note cards.
I love Gen Z.
